The Association of Catholic Tech Students (ACTS) is the offical student organization for Catholic Campus Ministry at LA Tech. It is also one of the primary outreaches of Saint Thomas Aquinas parish, and all those participarting in ACTS are welcome to register of Saint Thomas.
Catholic campus ministry began at Tech in the early 1940's with the formation of a Newman Club. This group met on campus or in the homes of parishoners and Catholic faculty until the construction of the Catholic Student Center in 1968. The Newman Club continued to change and grow under the direction of the Franciscan priests who serve St. Thomas Aquinas parish, eventually changing its name to the Association of Catholic Tech Students.
ACTS offers opportunities for spiritual growth, meaningful fellowship, and service opportunities to its participants through a variety of activities. While our group is uniquely Catholic, students of any faith background are welcome to join activities at the Center.
